Nottingham Campus

      Nottingham is the southerly campus for our area's preaching training. You might want to see what Scunthorpe are up to - there are some very slightly different resources that you can access here.

     Talking of slightly different resources, Nottingham has an additional reference guide, in the form of Pastor Stickland's book on preaching - on which much of our training is based. If you would like a copy it can be emailed to you. If you want your copy please click here.

Session 1

 There are two resources from the workshop on Sunday November 17th - the first is the audio of Pastor Haworth's presentation and the second resource is the PowerPoint to go with it. Included in the PowerPoint is the presentation on the use of the voice.

 Session 2

There are a number of resources for you from our second session. Our two speakers were Pastor Emanuel Bran, from Derby, who spoke on choosing a text to preach on, while Pastor Jeynes spoke on selecting the theme, the take home thought, for your sermon. There is an additional resource in a short text on how to break down a text and rebuild it so as to completely understand the text.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Session 3

Our resources from the third session comprises the audio and PowerPoint files. The speakers were Pastor Curtis Murphy who discussed the need to organise sermons, while Pastor Peter Jeynes examined the way we classify sermons - and why we classify sermons.
